Hi! I am Anne Beale (Greene) Yancey, a sewing educator, who has spent my life learning and growing in this passion. I began sewing in my, Cave Spring Junior High School, Home Economics class in Roanoke, VA. I even made my own wedding dress ('88) along with several utilitarian dresses for my missionary service in Sao Paulo, Brazil ('85). Since then, I have enjoyed garment and home dec sewing over the years.
Being able to sew my own clothes, curtains, bags, theater props & designs, over the years, has kept my hand in sewing.
It wasn't until I stepped into the world of quilting that my sewing really changed my life.
Quilting came at a time when I needed some healing time and personal reflection. It has healed me and stirred my soul to help others discover the joy in creating!
After embarking on my machine embroidery and quilting education, I became fascinated with the creativity of digitizing and the machine embroidery industry. I continue to study and learn well from many in the world of digitizing and machine embroidery.
I love sharing what I have learning and helping others discover their joy of creating, too, with their fabric, threads, sewing machines and embroidery machines.
I believe stitching is more than just sewing machine work. It brings joy, satisfaction and empowerment.
I offer a very personal and lively approach to education and a passion for the subject.
Therefore, I help people find enthusiasm and liberty in this therapeutic work.
I also work really hard to make it fun for everyone!
